Trip to Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan π π π
Many events excursions, visit to historical places, visit to temples, visit to hill stations and visiting waterfalls and gardens make us feel happy and relaxed. One way to get topic is to think about some place of memory where emotions are strongly attached.One place that comes to my mind in our memorable Vrindavan, Mathura and Agra Trip.
My experience is unique to me, Last year I along with my family got a golden chance to visit Vrindavan, Mathura and Agra. It was December month I made a programme along with my family to visit Vrindavan, Mathura and Agra. We boarded Shatabdi from Chandigarh to New Delhi and reached there at 12:30 p.m.
Chandigarh π Delhi π Vrindavan
There are no direct train or buses between New Delhi and Vrindavan. The convenient way to reach Vrindavan is to hire cab. We hired Tata Indica Cab, The cab driver guided us the places to visit Vrindavan.
The main visiting places in Vrindavan are:
- ISKCON Temple
- PREM Mandir
- BANKE BIHARI Temple
- SHRI RANG NATH Ji Temple
- Nidhivan
DAY 1 π
We reached Vrindavan at 4:30 p.m, the cab driver dropped us at very good lodge near Prem-Mandir, after passing through narrow lanes we reached our accomodation and had rest.
VRINDAVAN is popularly known as the βtown of templesβ and the β land of Godsβ famous for its Spiritual environment.
At 5:30 pm, we decided to visit ISKCON Temple also known as Sri krishna Balaram Mandir. It is one of the most magnificent and beautiful temples of Vrindavan. We saw the idols of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Sri Sri Radha Shyamasunder, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai and Lalita Devi and Vishaka Devi in temple. We saw fully white marbled samadhi of PRABHUPADAS.
At 6:00 p.m many devotees started coming for singing and dancing, they enchanted HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE .The enchanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna brought tears to my eyes.
Seeing devotees and foreigners(Actually devotees) dancing and jumping really felt like dancing. The idols of Radha and Krishna, the main altar are delightful. We visited Bhakti trust Museum. We enjoyed delicious pure vegetarian food in Govindas vegetarian restaurant.
DAY 2 π² π³ π΄ π΅
Nidhivan, a place where Kirshna dances with Gopiyan:
Next morning we got up early and decided to visit Nidhivan, Banke Bihari Temple. Nidhivan can be reached by Riksha as there were narrow lanes so we hired riksha and reached Nidhivan. The major part of the temple is lavished with huge bush forests as the Temple name from Nidhi means treasure and Van means forest. Everywhere, there is greenery and twisted trees and leaves and branches remain green throughout the year. Nidhivan is mystery land where Krishna Raasleela happen even now. It is believed that after closure of Nidhivan Lord Krishna Radha and Gopis appear and perform Raasleela and if anyone sees these activities the concerned person becomes deaf, dumb, blind, become mad and even death occurs, the person is unable to disclose the activities in the morning. Even monkeys leave after evening Aarti.
Then we took auto for Banke-Bihari Temple, famous Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is main soul of Vrindavan. We reached the temple. There was huge rush, people were pushing each other inside the temple security arrangement was improper. We managed the queue and had nice Darshan. The Vibes cannot be expressed. We felt blessed.
We proceeded to visit PREM MANDIR at night. Prem Mandir is a Hindu temple in Vrindavan. We had awesome experience to see superb temple with multi coloured fountain and Light show, beautifully decorated. The changing lights of Prem Mandir is main attraction.
There are jhankis of Radha Krishna on all three sides.The jhankis were so magnificent and so were the pillars, inside the temple statue of Kripalu Ji Maharaj beautifully carved that one can see them in living form in this structure. I appreciate one jhanki which include the raising of Govardhan Parbat by Lord Krishna.
Really, Prem Mandir is the temple of divine love dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram.
Mathura
We had nice breakfast and hired taxi cab for Mathura. Within few minutes we reached Mathura.
First, we visited Mathura Government Museum, there were elaborated architecture, paintings, collection of ancient sculptures coins.
Then we went to Kans Quila, this quila is named after maternal uncle of Lord Krishna. The Quila now is in dilapidated state still, is thronged by tourists. It has strongly fortified walls.Then we took our cab to Govardhan Temple,
We paid obeisance at temple it is traditional temple People worship here and believe all wishes are fulfilled here. All worshippers worship the pure rocks of the hill just like they worship idol, Govardhan is most auspicious since Lord Krishna lifted it on his little finger for seven days at a stretch to protect Brajwasis from the devastating rain.
Many worshippers do parikarma of 21 km around the hill to eradicate their sins and acquire good karma.
Really we got blessed ,we then returned to Vrindavan.
Day 3: Taj Mahal Symbol of love or death?
We hired a Taxicab from Vrindavan to Agra almost two hour journey. The driver was from Vrindavan he gave more information of Vrindavan like Barsana Temple, Gokul etc. which we missed due to shortage of time.We asked the driver to halt at Mughal-restaurant and had delicious breakfast.
We reached Taj Mahal entry place, we bought entry tickets went through security checking and also bought shoe covers. We were filled with joy to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world The TAJ MAHAL.
The monument is a memorial of love full of myth and awesome beauty. The building of Taj-mahal is really most beautiful creation.
The exclusive marble structure is an enduring monument to the love of husband Shah-Jahan for his favourite wife Mumtaj. It is also an eternal testament to the artistic success of wealthy empire. The majestic beauty of the ivory white Taj Mahal is eternal testament.A great photo oppurtunity seems like a dream when you are out of sight.
The four free standing minarets at the corner of platform give three dimensional effect to the edifice.
The view of Taj Mahal from different sides make it symbolic to different views of beauty of love. The surrounding gardens adds beauty. Really the beauty and history of Taj Mahal attracts people the most and is famous all over the world.
After visiting Agra Fort we had buffet lunch in nearby restaurant. We got tired my wife and daughter desired to visit Mehtab-Bagh. Enchanting fragrance of different species of flowers rejuvenated our spirits we enjoyed a walk amidst its beautiful pools, fountains, fruit trees and canopies. We had good photography session.
We took rest in garden and called our cab driver We drove back to Vrindavan. While visiting and walking through these places you may very well collect fine souvenirs to take back home.

Travel Itinerary
The cheapest way to reach VRINDAVAN, MATHURA is via train from Chandigarh to New-Delhi and by Taxi/Cab from New Delhi to Vrindavan, Mathura.
I will suggest you most comfortable and good budget as I experienced.
We planned four days tour. We travelled from Chandigarh to New-Delhi by Shatabdi each ticket is R.s. 530.
For comfortable journey and time saving we went to Vrindavan by taxi it charged Rs. 1250.
We booked hotel lodge at Vrindavan for 3 days for Rs. 1800 lump-sum .
Taxi, auto-Rickshaw expenses to and fro Vrindavan to Mathura, AGRA total expenses Rs.1600
Food expenses total of Rs. 3000. You will really find authentic food here.
Above all total tour expenses of our four days tour was only about Rs 10000 for our three member family in which we enjoyed full comforts, good food and exclusive sight seeings.

Beautiful part of being a Human being is travelling and visiting different places, the memories of our trips brings happiness on our face in future, trips are our emotional investment, In return you will get endless happiness whenever you want.
